“Looking
at Angkor”
Opening
reception, May 5, 2006 |

This exhibition is the result of a collaborative process
with artist Srey Bandol that spanned a period of over four
years. Wandering through the temples, equipped with pencil
and paper, Srey Bandol meticulously sketched drawings of his
view of Angkor. His drawings are accompanied by a text
written by Dr. Ashley Thompson, whose knowledge of Cambodia
and of Bandol as an artist, introduces us to his work and
also offers some of her thoughts on the "look/loot" of
Angkor.
